Happy birthday, Arielle. I hope your day was wonderful!
What a cute cake! Happy Birthday Arielle!
Corrie,
She is beautiful!! Can't believe how fast she has grown up.
O.M.
Up for a phone call?
Congratulations to your daughter upon reaching this important milestone in life! Beautiful picture of her and yummy cake! I like those candles, too.
Not to upstage, just to chat - today I turned 50. Our nephew (husband's brother's son) turned 30 today also. We're twenty years apart, and this weekend our families and friends are having a shindig at my husband's brother's place, just to celebrate.
On Jan's (from the GDL) blog, she was musing as to why so many August birthdays. I said because people were celebrating the beginning of the holiday season the previous year!
My mother called today. She told me something I never knew -- that I was a breech birth. My poor mother!
Anyway, congratulations to you and your daughter!
The cake is a lemon triple layer cake with homemade lemon curd for the filling between each layer. The candles, believe it or not, were purchased at Walmart. Arielle loves lemon and her email address is lemonlover something something. :-)
Organizing Mommy,
I would love to chat with you on the phone!
Lynn,
Happy Birthday! I have 3 children born at the end of August! It seems to be a popular time of the year to be born. :-)
P.S. Arielle is very excited that she will be able to vote for President of the U.S. the year she turns 18!!!!
Congratulations and happy birthday.
She looks like a lovely young woman. Is she ready to graduate from high school or has she already graduated?
She is done with all of her high school requirements but she is just beginning her senior year of high school. She has started taking some college courses this year and wants to pursue nursing.
Nursing, great!
I hope she has some good programs in your geographical region.
The world needs good nurses.

Corrie, congratulations to you, the proud mama, on this most wonderful of occasions. And to Arielle, I give you our family birthday poem:
Many happy returns on the day of thy birth
May joy and gladness be given
And may the dear Father prepare thee on earth
For a beautiful birthday in heaven!
Belated happy birthday.
I love the name. I wanted to name my daughter Arielle, but my husband wanted the Hebrew version, Ariel.
Beautiful name, anyway.
